Chester Wedding Photographer – C & M
This is the wonderful wedding of Catherine and Michael who were married at Doubletree Hilton Hotel & Spa, Chester. We arrived in the morning to find a slightly nervous Catherine surrounded by all of her bridesmaids, who were being preened and pampered together, tucking into a large basket of pastries and plate of sausages! Every wedding-morning should start like this!
Mid-morning, Tobiah went over to see our groom and deliver his much anticipated gift! There had been tears from almost everyone when Catherine had opened her gift from Michael but the guys held it together! Still, our groom was delighted with his Tag Heure watch from his bride-to-be.
As Catherine was having her dress buttoned and final touches done to her hair, the excitement started to build even more. It was soon time to head down to the ceremony where Catherine’s lovely mum, Sue was to walk her daughter down the aisle.
Once vows were said and reading read Catherine and Michael sat to sign the marriage register and then walked down the aisle as Mr & Mrs.
The weather hadn’t been the best in the morning so we decided to go out for some portraits while the weather was being kind to us before starting on the family shots. It was a bit chilly but soon it was time to head in for the wedding breakfast.
The room looked awesome and the jars that held all of the pretty springtime flowers had been lovingly decorated by the bride and groom with a few helpers and lots a ribbon!
After dinner, the speeches followed. This is always a great time to hear some of the couple’s backstory told by their nearest and dearest. Best man, Chris, took it in good spirits that his gift from Michael was a Manchester City shirt, despite being a United fan!
After the room was turned around for the evening reception, everyone filtered back in from the bar for the first dance.
The evening reception was in full swing and the dance floor packed as we said our goodbyes. We’d even got to catch up with one of our brides who works with Catherine. We had photographed her Iscoyd Park wedding last year so it was great to to see her and husband Paul before we headed off home.
