From a Skype meeting in our respective living rooms to the most gorgeous sunny day in Liverpool, this is the wedding story of Kerrin & Ed.
Our morning began in Liverpool city centre, our bride’s home town and a place very special to our couple, where they’d met and made some amazing memories together. It became apparent to us pretty quickly when we arrived to capture Kerrin and her best girls and boy getting ready that today was going to be awesome! Mum, Sharon and Dad, Frank’s little waves of emotion made for lots of lovely moments mixed in with everyone sharing hilarious stories and laughing until their sides ached. Hair was being done my the lovely Andy of AJM Hairdressing and make-up by two of the very best, Alexandra Burke MUA & Laurie of LKR Make-Up (you can find them on Instagram here (@alexburkemua and @lkrmakeup). Before long, Tobiah headed across to the super-chic Malmaison hotel to photograph our groom and his groomsmen adding their finishing touches and having one last pint! The sun was shining as the boys made their way across to the iconic Royal Liver Building for the wedding ceremony and thankfully, stayed shining all day for this city centre wedding. Tobiah came back to the girls’ apartment just as our beautiful bride was ready to step into her Madeline Gardner wedding dress. Next came one of our all-time favourite wedding day moments, when a beaming and very emotional father of the bride saw Kerrin for the first time in her wedding dress. Both of us had a tear in our eye as father and daughter hugged, kissed and fought back their tears. Pulling themselves together, it was time to go and get married!
The Venue at Royal Liver is such an amazing setting for any event but especially a wedding! As the sun streamed through the windows overlooking the River Mersey, a nervous Ed stood waiting for the arrival of his bride. The time had arrived for Kerrin and her lovely dad to make their entrance and for the wedding ceremony to begin. Conducted by the nicest registrar EVER and with readings from Ed’s sister-in-law and a close friend, Ed & Kerrin’s wedding ceremony was a beautiful one. The newlyweds followed all of their family and friends downstairs and out into the sunshine where they were met with a cascade of colourful confetti. After a few photographs, everyone made their way back up to the drinks reception before being seated for dinner.
There were 5 different speakers during the mid-dinner speeches – Dad, Kerrin’s best man, Phil, our handsome groom and his two best men – all telling different tales but with one common strand running throughout, their love for the new Mr & Mrs G-P.
As the dancing commenced and the party began, we took to the dance floor ourselves to capture the best movers! We absolutely loved every minute of this Liverpool wedding and thank these two lovely people so much for choosing us to capture their amazing wedding. We wish you all the happiness in the world and hope you enjoy the photographs.
