This week I purchased yet another new lens ( Canon 24mm tilt shift f3.5 for all you camera geeks…) If that means nothing to you it basically means more awesome images at your wedding or portrait sessions!

When I get a new lens I find its great to just go out with that one les and takes some photographs – really learn the lens, how it works and how to use it best. So today me and Laura after a great wedding meeting went to test it out.

We first drove through Trafford Park and I noticed this gate out of the corner of my eye as we drove past. I just had to swerve the car around and go and take some photos there! Most people would think ‘it’s a gate – get over it’ but the textures are brilliant for cool, edgy, funky photographs…

Laura conviced me that it was my turn to be the other side of the camera and so I got to know what it feels like to be photographed! Sorry for the cheesy photographs but I had to have another chessy photograph to replace the lame scarf photo i’ve had on here for ayyyggggesss!

I have to admit though Laura took some great photos 😉

After a short time I wanted to be the one taking photos again!

The brilliant thing with the tilt shift lens is that you can choose where you want the focus to be – kind of like a line of focus through the frame…

We then took a detour to a spot I’ve seen from the train for years and never found it. Today I found it! And it was worth it! Amazing Location…

So much grafiti here. We even had a chat with a guy who was doing grafiti. Nice guy.

We then headed to the Northern Quarter in Manchester for a pitta platter, a cloudy lemonade and some weird and wonderful milkshake…

And we found this cool orange wall. Always a photo op!
