Rob & Stacy were married at their local church in Birkdale and then celebrated with their family and friends at Formby Hall!
The day began with Stacy getting ready at her family home with her sisters, bridesmaids, parents and adorable flower girl, Lexie. Tinky the cat was very keen to get involved too but with too many delicate dresses around, most importantly Stacy’s, he was strictly kept outside! Hair and make up was beautifully done by two lovely ladies, Sam & Michelle aka Ruby Slippers. The weather was a little undecided in the morning but thankfully the sun came out just at the right moments and stuck around for most of the day!
An excited Stacy and her dad arrived in style at St. John’s in a stunning 1958 Bentley S1 from Birkdale Classics and after a blustery entrance into the church it was time to walk down the aisle to meet her groom.
The ceremony included readings from close friends, singing, laughter and a couple of happy tears from the bridesmaids.
Stacy and Rob have such lovely personalities and were literally smiling ALL day, it was a privilege to be there and the smiles were very infectious!
After a few photographs inside the church, the new Mr & Mrs exited through a shower of confetti to the wedding car to head to Formby Hall.
The guests enjoyed champagne and canapés on the lawns and inside the hall before it was time for the family photographs. Finding a location for group photographs can be a little difficult on a working golf course but Tobiah had picked a great location not too far from the drinks reception which was close enough for the families to get to but with no risk of being hit by a golf ball! Always a priority on your wedding day!
After some portraits with the bride and groom it was time for the guests to make their way to the beautifully decorated Ambassador Suite. Stacy had spent to much time crafting stunning centrepieces using logs and gold leaf. It looked so effective, especially with the stunning flowers from The Garden Rooms in Churchtown.
It was soon time for the speeches and for a champagne glass to be passed around for the best man speech sweepstake! Once all three speeches had been given, the results were in! Rob’s dad had the job of announcing the winner, asking the guest with the exact time of 7mins 43seconds to stand up. Nobody moved. It was him! Rob’s dad, David, generously put his winnings behind the bar and once the Ambassador Suite had been turned around for the evening it was back in for dancing and casino games!
A massive thank you to the lovely Dean and the team at Formby Hall for having us and looking after us so well. Of course, we’d like to thank Rob & Stacy for choosing us to photograph their amazing wedding. We had such a lovely time with you all!
