What a day! This is the wonderful wedding of Martin & Parina. We had the privilege of this English/Asian wedding in Knowsley Hall in August. We loved their Knowsley Hall wedding from start to finish, even if the weather was a little unpredictable to begin with!
Our day started at our couple’s home in Bolton. The dining room had been transformed into a make-up parlour and the ladies were having the finishing touches to their looks before beginning to get ready, but not before a crumpet or two!
The two littlest people were being entertained by back to back Disney Pixar films before they too began to get ready.
All of the ladies looked so elegant in their traditional saris but especially Parina. It was soon time to head off to Knowsley Hall and get married!
We left just ahead of our bride and her family and bridesmaids to arrive and capture the groom and his family.
The heavens had opened as the bride arrived at Knowsley Hall but the weather certainly didn’t dampen her spirits and excitement!
The ceremony room at Knowsley is one of our favourites and with decoration from Qube Events it looked even more spectacular.
After the ceremony, vows and readings, the newly weds and their guests spilled into the stunning Walnut Drawing Room.
As the rain eased off and the sun started to peek from behind the clouds, we went outside with our couple and their families for the coconut ceremony. This involved a coconut being placed under the wheel of the wedding car to be broken by the car driving over it. Thanks to a nifty device constructed by Parina’s parents this was done fairly easily!
We then took some family photographs in the now sun-filled surroundings of Knowsley Hall before going into The State Dining Room for the wedding breakfast.
After dinner and speeches, guests retreated again to the beautifully opulent rooms of Knowsley Hall before the evening reception began in The Stucco Ballroom.
We so enjoyed the evening entertainment from the awesome Funk Soul Family band and they had the dance floor packed straight away.
Before we headed for home, we set up a few more dramatic photographs in The Walnut Drawing Room with our bride and groom.
Thank you so much for having us to photograph your Knowsley Hall wedding. We loved it!
