This is the fabulous wedding of Alex and Aleks, whose story began in the vibrant heart of London, where they first crossed paths through their shared workplace. Their journey of love led them to the stunning Eastnor Castle wedding in Ledbury, where I had the honour of photographing their spectacular Serbian Orthodox wedding.
Eastnor Castle: A Timeless Backdrop for Weddings
Nestled in the picturesque town of Ledbury, Eastnor Castle boasts a rich history and architectural grandeur that makes it a stunning venue for weddings throughout the year. Bridal Preparations in the Tulip Room
As the sun rose over Eastnor Castle, Alex prepared for her special day in the charming Tulip Room, where she had stayed the night before. Alex chose a unique and breathtaking Pronovias wedding gown, and had the most amazing cowboy boots as wedding shoes! Her bridesmaids complemented the winter setting in striking green dresses, adding vibrancy to the celebration.
Aleks, accompanied by his best man, got ready in the castle’s Turret Room.
Whilst Aleks made his final preparations, a beautiful Serbian tradition unfolded as the negotiation of the dowry took place, setting the stage for the incredible wedding ceremony ahead.
The Serbian Orthodox Ceremony in Birmingham
The couple exchanged vows at The Serbian Orthodox Church of the Holy Prince Lazar in Birmingham, a venue adorned with ornate beauty. The Serbian Orthodox wedding ceremony, rich in tradition and symbolism, unfolded amidst the mesmerizing surroundings. As husband and wife, Alex and Aleks exited the church to the joyous sounds of traditional music and a cascade of confetti.
Tradition and Merriment at Eastnor Castle
The arrival back at Eastnor Castle was marked by more traditional music, setting the tone for a day filled with joyous celebrations. The castle grounds echoed with the sounds of music and the rhythm of dancing, creating an atmosphere of pure merriment. Guests embraced the Serbian traditions, never ceasing to dance, smile, and immerse themselves in the most wonderful of celebrations.
