A Sunny Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

One glorious day in July, we headed off to Delamere Manor for Chris and Lauren’s sunny wedding. Such a beautiful venue anywhere is fabulous but one 10 minutes from our house is even better!

We arrived to find the awesome team at Springbank setting up on the terrace in the sunshine for the outdoor ceremony. Although beautiful and elegant, Delamere Manor has such a relaxed and home-from-home feeling. This was evident by us finding Lauren, mum and bridesmaids relaxing upstairs and getting ready together when we arrived. Though Chris and his groomsmen were especially making themselves at home enjoying bacon sandwiches and watching the rugby!

A Relaxed Morning

The lovely buzz of people doing different jobs and Lauren and the bridesmaids peeking out of the window onto the terrace built anticipation for the day ahead. Lauren’s mum, Sarah, was steaming Lauren’s beautiful Pronovias wedding dress and Penny of the Jodi Make-Up team was busy beautifying the ladies.

Time always flies during the wedding morning! After Tobiah had nipped across the landing to capture the gents getting ready, they headed downstairs to greet the guests arriving.

It was time for Lauren to get into her dress with the help of her bridesmaids and mum. Needless to say, the excitement went up a notch and Lauren’s proud dad, Nigel, was keen to see her!

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Delamere Manor

Everyone was seated on the terrace ready for the ceremony to begin and an anxious Chris was waiting in the sunshine for his bride.

Lauren and her dad walked up the aisle arm in arm towards a beaming Chris. The ceremony was short but sweet and all the humans and two special doggies present enjoyed every minute!

With the register signed and everything sealed with a kiss, the brand new Mr & Mrs walked back up the aisle and were soon covered in confetti and surrounded by all of their family and friends congratulating them. The guests were enjoying the glorious weather and champagne on the lawns and the terrace as we stole Chris and Lauren away for a few photographs in the grounds.

There are many diverse locations for Delmere Manor wedding photographs; the lake, the woodland, the landscape…we were spoiled for choice! The guests were being seated for the wedding breakfast in the Courtyard.

The space had been transformed by the Springbank team and under the canopy of fairy lights and the sun setting through the glass fronted entrance, it looked magical.

Dinner, Speeches & Dancing!

After a delicious wedding breakfast it was time to hear from 4 very special gents – The bride’s and groom’s fathers both spoke followed by Chris and best man Joe. We always love the combination of emotions that the speeches bring and these ones didn’t disappoint.

Time to cut the cake! Or beautiful mountain of cheese in this case and then Chris and Lauren hit the dance floor as man and wife for a very special first dance.

Singing ‘Your Song’ by Elton John, best man, Joe sang and played the guitar for the first dance and soon Chris and Lauren were joined by pretty much every other guest as Joe played a few more songs and kept everyone on their feet.

Thank you to Chris and Lauren and both of their lovely families who made us feel SO welcome. A special mention Michelle too and her amazing team at Delamere Manor and Tim for running the day perfectly.
