Pulling onto the driveway at the Pollock family home brought back lots of wonderful and familiar memories. We were there for the wedding of Hayley & Dan a few years before and the same warm welcome greeted us as we walked through the door this time on Laurie & Tom’s special day.
The beautiful bride was surrounded by her bridesmaids and mum, Paula, getting ready together with the marvellous ladies at Make-Up Mad and Perfection Salon in Hale.
We photographed the details as usual and loved capturing the buzz and excitement of the ladies getting ready. Tobiah soon headed to Nunsmere Hall to capture the groom-to-be and groomsmen who looked awesome in their tuxedos.
Back with Team Bride it was time for Laurie to get into her stunning Ronald Joyce wedding dress.
With the help her sister and maid of honour, Natalie, and mum, it was time for the final touches and then it was time to go!
With the glorious sunshine shining down and the surroundings of the beautiful gardens at Nunsmere, the setting for the outdoor ceremony was perfect. Guests were enjoying some champagne on the terrace before they were seated for the ceremony. The handsome groom and his best man were already in place, eagerly waiting for the first glimpse of Laurie and her dad. The ceremony began with music from the super-talented Lucy Hope and featured emotional vows and heart-felt promises. More music was enjoyed by the guests while Tom and Laurie made everything legal back inside Nunsmere Hall and the came back out into the sunshine for the conclusion of the ceremony. After being covered in confetti, it was time to celebrate!
We always, wherever possible, like to leave the bride and groom plenty of time to enjoy spending some precious time with their family and friends after the ceremony to soak up that newly married feeling and receive lots of hugs and congratulations! This allows us to photograph these real moments and create natural wedding photographs. After all, that is what the wedding day is all about.
After lots of mingling and a little champagne, started the family photographs before stealing Laurie and Tom away for some relaxed portraits in the grounds around Nunsmere.
It was soon time for the guests to be seated in the marquee and for the grand reveal of what the epic Red Floral team had created. As always, the theme they had completely transformed the space with synonymous larger-than-life creations and gravity defying trees covered in votive candles.
With a nod to Laurie’s Jewish roots, the traditional dancing began soon after the guests had entered the marquee! This is always so much fun and with the couple both up in the air on chairs, it was certainly energetic and got everyone ready for dinner!
Seated for the speeches, dinner began with grace and a reading from one of Laurie’s best friends, Shadee. It was so lovely to see Shadee and her husband Benji whose wedding we photographed at Colshaw Hall last year.
After dinner and speeches, it was back to the dance floor! We said our goodbyes when it was time to say to go to the new Mr & Mrs. S in the centre of a packed out dance floor surrounded by their family and friends enjoying the final hours of the most magical day. Thank you so much for choosing us to capture your special day!
