Wedding Photographer Manchester
Wedding Photography at John Street Hotel Manchester
Hello people! Let me introduce you to Alex and Jonathan, my first bride and groom of 2010! They tied the knot at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester.
The Great John Street Hotel is a stylish Manchester wedding venue with a modern feel. Alex and Jon got married at 4:00 Pm and at this time the sun was beginning to set. As the venue has very atmospheric lighting this presents a great challenge for a Manchester wedding photographer. It is very dimly lit. This is one important reason to choose an experienced wedding photographer in Manchester whilst planning your wedding.
We caught up with Jon and his groomsmen before the wedding to take a few photographs. He was very relaxed as was the whole wedding which made it a really enjoyable day.

This is what I love about Manchester wedding photography – being able to use the urban surroundings for great photographs.

For these photographs we used some flash to add a more drama to the photo and make a fashion style photograph.

We then left the guys to relax before the wedding ceremony and went to photograph Alex.

The beautiful and unique green wedding dress!

Having a few sweets before the wedding!

The wedding garter!

When there is little light in a wedding venue its good to have a manchester wedding photographer who can use flattering soft flash photography to make beautiful portraits. Here we used a small portrable flash unit and placed it in a quick foldable softbox.

After a few wedding portraits it was time for Alex and Jon to get married! Jon was eagerly awaiting his bride!

Jon was very emotional as Alex entered looking stunning.

Jon was in awe of his bride.

I really love this wedding photograph of Jon placing the wedding band on Alex’s finger.

The sun was very low when the wedding ceremony was over. We got chance to take a few wedding photographs on the roof terrace before the sun said goodnight.

We then slipped outside to the alleyway for a few photographs.

Alex and Jon wanted relaxed manchester wedding photography and insisted that the group shots were fun! I think we all managed to pull that off!

The wedding bands.

Alex and Jon decided on a unique wedding cake. They wanted something that people would really enjoy and they certainly found it. They had a Cheesecake – but not your ordinary cheesecake! It was actually all made of Cheese. And it was really tasty! Thanks Alex and Jon for letting me and Laura have a selection of cheeses!

After Alex and Jon cut the wedding cake we took a couple of wedding photographs in the Lift. It was quite a challenge to get the doors to stay open!

Finally we have a couple of wedding photographs of just Alex on the stairs at Great John Street Hotel. I had an idea that I wanted to try and I think it really worked!

There were obviously many more wedding photographs but thats all for now!
Thank you for looking at these Manchester wedding photographs. If anyone viewing this post is getting married at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester and would like a Manchester wedding photographer – please do not hessitate to contact me.
