This is the beautiful wedding of Debbie & Stu, full of vintage touches and lots of love at the amazing Maunsel House.
Maunsel House is one of Somerset’s finest wedding venues. It is a magnificent 13th century manor set in an extensive country estate near Taunton, Somerset. Debbie and Stu met at school and after years apart they found each other again via Friends Reunited and the rest, as they say, is history.
The King’s Room was were we met Debbie getting ready. An elaborately decorated and decedent bedroom overlooking the stunning grounds. After photographing a few details together, Tobiah went to find Stu and his son Will. I stayed with the girls to capture them getting excited for the upcoming ceremony and finishing off their final touches. Debbie looked amazing – Irregular Choice shoes set off her two-part wedding outfit, topped off by the coolest of hair dos and vintage lace gloves. Stu looked great too of course!
After their emotional ceremony in the ballroom surrounded by their closest friends, family and children, Debbie and Stu enjoyed their drinks reception with guests on the lawn. We think it is important to allow the bride and groom some time together with their friends and family after the ceremony. We use this time to capture some great candid photographs. Lots of laughs, hugs and chats between the couple and their nearest and dearest. These are always some of our favourite shots from the day.
The weather played it’s important role perfectly for the wedding breakfast. This was held under the roofed pergola in the walled garden. Debbie & Stu – mostly Debbie – had spent lots of time sourcing vintage china swans and milk jugs for their centrepieces filled with beautiful flowers. Before dinner was served the guests each had a shot of Tequila. To say some of the guests weren’t a fan of the lemon and salt was an understatement! See the photos for yourself! After dinner, speeches and a quiz prepared by Stu’s dad followed.
We had such a super time at this vintage and quirky wedding. And thankfully we weren’t eaten alive, nor any of the guests, by the Beast of North Norton!
Please enjoy looking through some of our favourite Maunsel House wedding photos.
